Precision Manufacture Essential for Flat-cut Lettering
For over 35 years, AG/CAD has constantly developed and evolved in line with available technology and customer requirements. AG/CAD can supply your Sign and Graphics business with the software and machinery needed to streamline your workflow from design to manufacture.
As a CAD software developer and digital cutter supplier, AG/CAD provides bespoke solutions for all the niche requirements your business may have. Despite its huge capability, KASEMAKE software remains intuitive and easy for you to learn and use.
The DYSS range of digital cutters are the perfect manufacturing partner for the KASEMAKE suite of software. DYSS machines range in size from 1000 x 1300mm to 3200 x 3000mm and can be equipped with a static or conveyorised mat. These highly versatile machines reliably process materials including but not limited to – textile, paper, self-adhesive vinyl, PVC banner material, folding box board, Foamex, Correx, corrugated, honeycomb, Dibond (ACM) and acrylic. As greener paper-based media solutions are developed and become available, the adaptability of the DYSS range of machines will allow you to capitalise in new markets.
An area where precise manufacture is important is in the creation of cut lettering. Lettering can range from kiss-cut labels and window vinyl to aluminium composite or acrylic shapes.
DYSS machines are built as manufacturing units, and as such, they must process your full range of materials accurately and consistently. The attention to detail starts with the tooling. All DYSS tools are CNC machined to a very high tolerance. All tangentially controlled tooling, including the kiss-cut and drag knife, are interchangeable. You have the option to add additional tooling as new markets are identified.
Accurate tooling requires precise control. DYSS machines are equipped with industry-leading zero backlash drive systems. Unlike some machines that rely on traditional rack and pinion drives, DYSS machines engage low-wear technology. Rack and pinion drives can degrade over time if not maintained perfectly, leading to inconsistency. Even with the most demanding combinations of material and cut profile, DYSS digital cutters retain accuracy. To ensure precise processing, DYSS machines can be fitted with optional depth calibration sensors. The non-contact method of measuring tool depth engaged by DYSS means that accurate cutting depth can be measured to 100th of a millimetre. When processing kiss-cut vinyl lettering, maintaining a precise cut depth, enough to cut the vinyl but not go through the backing paper, is essential.
The DYSS X7 and X9 range of machines can be specified with an optional high-frequency router. The inclusion of a router will give you the ability to process materials that are too thick or too dense to knife cut. Simple-to-use DYSS front-end software allows you to vary many aspects of processing, including spindle RPM. High RPM is made possible with a precision-made spindle and high-end bearings. Some materials require lower RPM to reduce friction as they are routed. Some materials, such as acrylic, benefit from the higher RPM on a finishing pass, producing results that often require no further processing.
DYSS machines can be equipped with an optional camera and software package – K-CUT Vision. The addition of a camera allows you to cut items accurately to register. With K-CUT vision, you can capture any registration mark that the printer has used. This facility aids trade manufacturers processing printed media generated with a variety of marks. Where it is not possible to use registration marks, K-CUT Vision can locate the material edges and use these to process the job. Years of experience have allowed the developers at AG/CAD to create a seamless software and manufacturing solution. This experience is available to you.
